The SCVRC Juniors Program has been fortunate to receive significant support from many organizations and individuals.  We sincerely appreciate the continuing support provided by:


NRA Foundation Grant (2015)

Thanks to a generous grant from the NRA Foundation in 2015, the SCVRC Juniors program was able to expand it's public training and competitive programs, including:
  • FIRST Steps Rifle course materials enabled the SCVRC to offer rifle safety and marksmanship classes to the local youth community
  • Winchester / NRA Qualification Program Awards 
  • Orion Scoring System to increase the junior's participation in smallbore and air rifle matches.

Friends of the NRA

Friends of the NRA (FONRA) holds annual fundraising dinners to support local shooting organizations.

In San Jose, the FONRA dinner is held annually on the first Friday of May.  For more information go to the FONRA California calendar.

Santa Clara Valley Rifle Club (SCVRC)

Over many decades, members of the SCVRC have volunteered their time and knowledge to build the foundation of our current junior programs.  Many thanks go to these program founding members:  Dean Peterson, Bill Lyles, Bob Pickering, and Loyd Nesbitt.

MidwayUSA Foundation

The MidwayUSA Foundation Team Endowment program provides financial support to youth shooting sports teams across America.

SCVRC Juniors participates in the Foundation to raise funds for equipment for our competitive shooters.

Harry Dwyer of U.S. Firearms Co. generously donated a Marlin .22 rifle for a juniors program fundraising event. With the money earned from Harry's donation, SCVRC juniors will be able to participate in fall smallbore matches in northern California.
