On Sunday May 21, the SCVRC held a smallbore match that recreated a 1950's-style match run by the Director of Civilian Marksmanship (DCM) -- now know as the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP).

Robert Summers, match sponsor, donated historical DCM smallbore medals for juniors who earned Marksman, Sharpshooter and Expert ratings.

Fourteen juniors and nine adult club members participated in this successful fundraiser for the Juniors program.

Top three juniors were:
  • First:  Carlos Huerta, score of 356-5x and earning an Expert medal
  • Second:  Long Nguyen, score of 337-3x, and earning a Sharpshooter medal
  • Third:  Emily Macias, score of 327-5x and earning a Sharpshooter medal
Other juniors earning medals included:
  • Isabella Casarez, Marksman
  • Hauni Sky Cho, Marksman
  • Joey Jacoby, Marksman
  • Josue Valverde, Marksman
Congratulations to all of the juniors for a successful match -- many of whom were competing for the first time.

Top three adult SCVRC members were:
  • First:  Mike Davis, score of 344-4x
  • Second:  Nick Galiotto score of 339-6x
  • Third:  Jerry Bergstresser, score of 338-6x
Many thanks go to the volunteers who made this match possible:
  • Robert Summers:  match sponsor and awards
  • Louise Jacoby:  registration and stats office -- Louise did a phenomenal job of getting all of the administrative work done to make this match run smoothly
  • Norlan Macias:  lunch chef
  • Brian Shrigley:  line coach and RSO
  • Than Hendricks:  spotter and RSO
  • Nick Galiotto:  line coach and RSO
